Prompts for Formal Practice Essays During my last few years at Twin Lakes Middle School, we used the following prompts for formal, five-paragraph, practice essays in preparation for standardized testing.
A strategy or procedure, perhaps? Prompt 2 Throughout history many important things have been made or invented. Should there be a dress code in places such as school, restaurants, and places of business? You soon discover it has one special, magical ability. The point of the essay is to tell your story, not to demonstrate how many words you know.
